Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an ESH Coordinator to support project teams in enforcing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. You will monitor conditions, assist in investigations, and coordinate safety orientations.

The role involves incident reporting, workers' compensation liaison, and monthly safety committee participation, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with construction health and safety exposure.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour for construction and STS.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and Layton standards.
• Assist ESH Manager to investigate accidents and near misses.
• Monitor workers' compensation issues and report timely information.
• Conduct site safety orientations for project teams.
• Participate in pre-construction safety meetings and highlight needs.
• Support injury management and provide cost-effective medical care guidance.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys to detect gases/noise and fit tests.
• Support VP-Field Ops and HR to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, WC laws.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors at site level.
• Attend monthly corporate Safety Committee meetings.
