Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an ESH Coordinator to support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level. You will help enforce policies and participate in safety training and committee meetings.

The role involves incident investigations, workers’ compensation data collection, and coordination with ESH leadership to maintain compliance and ensure safe project execution.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with at least one year of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction and STS certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitors safety conditions and enforces OSHA and Layton Construction standards.
• Assist ESH Manager in investigating accidents and near misses.
• Support workers' compensation data collection and reporting.
• Conduct site-specific safety orientations for project teams.
• Participate in pre-construction safety meetings and highlight safety needs.
• Assist with injury management to ensure proper care.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys to detect gases and noise.
• Support compliance with FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation laws.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors at site level.
• Participate in monthly Safety Committee meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
