Job summary

American Global seeks a Contractual Risk Manager to join the Infrastructure team. You will analyze major construction and infrastructure contracts, advise on risk allocation, and support negotiations with clients and project teams.

The role collaborates with legal, insurance, and surety professionals to develop practical risk management strategies for projects across heavy civil, buildings, data centers, and water infrastructure.

Qualifications

JD or equivalent legal qualification.
Experience in construction, infrastructure, or energy law.
Ability to analyze contracts for risk allocation, indemnities, and insurance terms.

Responsibilities

Contractual Risk Analysis: review major construction and infrastructure agreements focusing on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance requirements and key provisions.
Contract Negotiation & Client Advisory: support negotiations by identifying exposures and advising on risk allocation and insurance terms.
Insurance & Risk Advisory: develop risk management and insurance strategies based on project risk profiles.
Insurance Policy Analysis: evaluate coverages, exclusions, limitations and historical handling of claims.
Cross-Functional Risk Guidance: translate complex provisions for contractors, legal, and insurance stakeholders to mitigate exposure.
Project Agreement Review: scrutinize JV agreements, design/subcontractor contracts for indemnities and liability allocation.
Business Development & Growth: assist with client strategies and market insights to strengthen relationships.
