Job summary
American Global is seeking a Contractual Risk Manager to join our Infrastructure team. You will analyze construction and infrastructure contracts, focusing on risk allocation, indemnification, and insurance requirements, and support negotiations with clients and partners.
Working with legal, insurance, and surety professionals, you will develop practical risk management strategies, review joint venture and subcontractor agreements, and contribute to client strategy and thought leadership across
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or energy law.
- Expertise in contract analysis, negotiation and risk allocation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze major construction and infrastructure contracts with emphasis on risk allocation.
- Support contract negotiations by identifying exposures and guiding risk terms.
- Evaluate insurance requirements and advise on risk strategies.
- Review joint venture, design, and subcontractor agreements focusing on indemnities and liability.
- Bridge between contractors, legal teams, and insurance professionals to mitigate exposure.
- Contribute to client strategy and business development through research and trend analysis.
- Participate in thought leadership through articles and industry panels.
