Job summary

American Global is seeking a Contractual Risk Manager to join the Infrastructure team. The role focuses on analyzing contractual risk in major construction projects, including design-build and P3 arrangements, and supporting negotiations to optimize risk transfer and insurance terms.

You will collaborate with contractors, legal, insurance, and surety professionals to translate complex provisions into practical risk management strategies, contributing to client strategy and thought leadership.

Qualifications

JD or equivalent legal qualification.
Strong knowledge of contract analysis, indemnification, and risk allocation in construction or infrastructure.
Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Analyze major construction and infrastructure agreements focusing on risk allocation and indemnification.
Support contract negotiations with guidance on exposures and insurance terms.
Advise on insurance requirements, coverages, and risk transfer strategies.
Review joint venture, design, and subcontractor agreements for indemnities and liability allocation.
Collaborate with legal, construction, insurance, and risk teams to provide cross-functional risk guidance.
Contribute to risk reports combining contract analysis with technical risk assessments.
Assist in business development and thought leadership within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
