Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a seasoned QA/QC professional to lead project quality control activities in Chicago, IL.

You will implement the Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up phases of control, oversee the ITP, and ensure field inspections align with project specs and safety standards. The role requires 5+ years in construction quality control, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Procore, AutoDesk, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a construction-related field.
• 5+ years of construction quality control experience.
• Familiarity with safety certifications like OSHA 30E/NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Three-Phase Control System (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up) across major activities.
• Oversee the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and log field inspections + test reports.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with specs.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities and communicate status/risks to project team and client.
• Lead weekly QC meetings with trade partners and client reps.
