Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Agent to oversee development, negotiation, and execution of division sourcing agreements and to manage material take-offs. You will support the VP of Purchasing by coordinating the department's timeline and workflow within the division.

Your responsibilities include selecting qualified subcontractors, reviewing site plans, preparing bid packages, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely payments while maintaining budget discipline and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in purchasing, ideally with a national home builder.
• Proficient in reading residential blueprints and Excel.
• Knowledgeable in nationwide construction practices.
• Able to multitask under tight deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Lennar selects the best subcontractors and monitors quality, cost, service, and delivery.
• Review and manage site development plans and specifications.
• Pre-qualify and select subcontractors offering cost-effective construction and services.
• Prepare bid packages, including scopes of work and payment schedules.
• Monitor trade partner performance and resolve conflicts; oversee contracts and purchasing systems.
• Implement material sourcing strategies to optimize supply chains and reduce division costs.
• Maintain relationships with trade partners and ensure compliance and budget adherence.
• Ensure prompt progress payments and participate in monthly budget meetings.
