Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee new store, expansion, and remodel projects from pre-construction through warranty. You will handle schedules, plan reviews, bidding, budget management, and sign-offs, while coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of construction industry experience.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC/CMs, subs, and suppliers on Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Oversee bid documents, RFQ packaging, and ensure accurate, timely bid packages.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions and invoices for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Manage Construction Change Authorization/Change Order processes to ensure validity and timely payments.
• Oversee bid, contract and requisition approvals for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Coordinate redline reviews of ARCH/MEP plans for accuracy and code conformance.
• Provide value engineering feedback to Engineering on assigned projects.
• Develop and implement cost savings ideas, including value engineering and means/methods.
• Plan new store, expansion, remodel projects, and department rollouts with detailed phase plans and milestones.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate, Preconstruction/A&E, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure timely completion and adherence to standards and lease requirements.
• Monitor developer/landlord performance on contracted projects and communicate issues.
• Issue period budget reports and review changes impacting budget; update reports.
