Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee new store, expansion and remodel projects from pre-construction through warranty. You will manage schedules, budgets, and coordination with GC's, CM's, designers and vendors to ensure on-time openings.

Applicants can reside in North Carolina, South Carolina or Virginia with travel 80% (Mon-Thu) and a remote office day on Friday. The role requires full-time work authorization in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with risk recognition

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's, CM's, subcontractors and suppliers on Food Lion projects.
• Oversee bid documents, RFQ packages and ensure accurate, timely submissions.
• Handle contracts, purchase orders, processing and payment for Food Lion work.
• Manage change orders to keep projects on scope and budget.
• Review ARCH/MEP redlines for codes and prototypes.
• Provide value engineering feedback and cost-saving ideas.
• Plan store projects with detailed schedules and milestones, monitor progress.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and other stakeholders.
