Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Project Manager I for Store Development, handling new stores, expansions and remodels from pre-construction through warranty close-out. The role requires extensive collaboration with GC/CMs, developers and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget openings.

The candidate will manage bidding, contracts, budgets and schedules, traveling up to four days a week and maintaining frequent communication with internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bidding and contracting for GC's, CM's, and subs on Food Lion projects.
• Prepare bid documents and RFQ packages to minimize change orders.
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, and invoicing for Food Lion-contracted work.
• Lead change orders process to ensure scope, validity, and timely payments.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Operations and other stakeholders.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met and project milestones are achieved.
