Job summary

Valcourt Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Project Manager to oversee all aspects of project delivery, from analyzing drawings and specs to scheduling and procurement. You will coordinate with Foreman and crews, prepare bids, perform take-offs, and monitor progress toward on-time completion.

The role requires reading plans, knowledge of OSHA standards, and strong Excel/Word skills with experience in estimating software. A valid driver's license is required and you may manage multiple projects.

• Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with commercial estimating software.
• Knowledge of construction plans, OSHA procedures, and waterproofing products/installations.
• Ability to create comprehensive estimates for projects.
• Highly self-motivated and organized; multi-tasking across bidding and projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to ensure scopes are completed per standards and profitably.
• Operate and care for company equipment, vehicles, and small tools.
• Communicate with owners and consulting engineers to create bids.
• Perform accurate take-offs.
• Constantly collect current pricing from vendors.
• Ensure materials and scope clarified for Foreman and crew.
• Initiate submittal process and assist with necessary information after award.
• Ensure PO and paperwork including change orders, RFIs, shop drawings are completed timely.
• Make site visits to help manage the project and update plans and owner expectations.
• Communicate with Foreman about scheduling issues.
• Finalize contracts at end of project with warranties and close-out documents.
• Document substantial and final completion dates.
