Job summary

Valcourt Group is seeking a Project Manager in Miami to oversee multiple construction projects from bidding through close-out. You will review drawings, set schedules, procure materials, and supervise subs, while ensuring profitability and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities include take-offs, pricing, owner/engineer communications, and submittals. A 2+ year background in construction, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and understand commercial plans, specs, and details.
• Knowledge of OSHA procedures and waterproofing products.
• Must be self-motivated and organized, able to multi-task.
• Able to develop comprehensive estimates and bids.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to ensure scopes are completed per standards and profitably.
• Operate and care for company equipment, vehicles, and small tools.
• Communicate with owners and consulting engineers to create comprehensive bids.
• Perform accurate take-offs.
• Constantly collect current pricing from vendors.
• Ensure project details and scope clarifications are communicated for the Foreman and crew.
• Initiate the submittal process after an awarded contract.
• Ensure materials have a PO and complete paperwork including change orders, RFI’s, shop drawings, etc.
• Make site visits to manage the project and ensure the Foreman has updated plans and owner expectations.
• Communicate with the Foreman about scheduling issues.
• Finalize contracts at the end of each project with warranties, close-out documents, and punch lists.
• Document substantial completion and final completion dates.
