Job summary

Valcourt is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion at the Charlotte, NC site. The role requires analyzing drawings, setting deadlines, procuring materials, and coordinating with foremen and crews to ensure timely, profitable delivery.

The ideal candidate will read plans, prepare comprehensive estimates, manage multiple projects, and maintain strong communication with owners and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years related experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; knowledge of estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to ensure scopes are completed per standards and profitability.
• Operate company equipment, vehicles, and small tools.
• Communicate with owners and engineers to create comprehensive bids.
• Perform accurate take-offs.
• Constantly collect current pricing from vendors.
• Coordinate materials, scope, and paperwork for foreman and crew.
• Initiate submittal process after award and provide necessary information.
• Ensure purchase orders and change orders are processed timely.
• Conduct site visits to update plans and owner expectations.
• Communicate scheduling needs to ownership team.
• Finalize contracts, warranties, close-out documents, and inspections.
• Document substantial and final completion dates.
