Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 1 to provide overall direction for a project or portion of a larger project. This role manages safety culture, prestart processes and coordination with the preconstruction team, including quantity takeoff, bid packages, and schedule development.

The Project Manager 1 builds relationships with clients, design teams and subcontractors, monitors risk, and ensures alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours as project needs.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and promotes injury-free environment.
• Manages prestart process and plan buyout schedule.
• Supports preconstruction including quantity takeoff, coordination, bid packages, schedule and bids.
• Reviews and issues subcontracts, manages change requests and pricing.
• Maintains submittal schedules and ensures timely submissions and returns.
• Coordinates stakeholders (subcontractors, owner, design team, vendors) and maintains project documentation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
