Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Manager 1 to provide leadership for full projects or portions of complex ventures. The role builds relationships with clients, design teams and subcontractors, aligning with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision and values.

You will manage safety, preconstruction activities, submittals, scheduling, cost forecasting and project closeout while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
• Assignment location may include project sites and/or in the office.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and mentoring to an injury‑free environment.
• Oversee the prestart process and buyout scheduling.
• Support preconstruction activities including quantity takeoff and bid packages.
• Develop and manage project schedule with Lean principles and resource planning.
• Coordinate submittal schedules and ensure timely reviews by architects/engineers.
• Monitor costs, budgets and monthly forecast with the team.
• Coordinate with owners, designers, subcontractors and suppliers.
