Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead overall direction of a project and coordinate with the superintendent, clients, design teams and subcontractors. The role drives safety culture, manages preconstruction activities and oversees schedule, cost and change control to meet project goals.

You will build client relationships, mentor staff, and ensure Lean principles are applied across preconstruction and construction phases, with travel and non-traditional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of project safety culture and mentors staff.
• Supports preconstruction team including quantity takeoff, coordination, bid package development.
• Leads buyout schedule, pricing verification and subcontract issuance.
• Manages submittal schedule and ensures shop drawings/submittals are approved and returned on time.
• Coordinates with logistics for pricing on materials and equipment.
• Performs risk analysis of subcontractors throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinates stakeholders including subcontractors, owner, design team, vendors.
• Gathers pricing, evaluates bids, and prepares change requests for owners/architects.
• Leads monthly project reviews, progress meetings and OAC meetings.
• Prepares monthly cost/margin forecast and aids in budget development and tracking.
• Oversees project closeout with documentation and warranties.
