Job summary

Flint Builders in Livermore, CA seeks a Senior Project Controls Manager to oversee scheduling, budgeting, and preconstruction leadership. This role drives cost estimates, oversees the Estimating team, and ensures delivery within scope and schedule.

The position requires Lean Construction expertise, subcontractor negotiations, and strong communication to mentor staff and coordinate with field teams for successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of construction projects.
• Develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates.
• Lead Estimating team in Preconstruction.
• Mentor project engineers, QC and coordinators.
• Maintain site safety and quality plans.
• Manage subcontractor selection and contract negotiations.
• Lead cost management including change orders and billing.
• Oversee design-build and design-assist relationships.
• Oversee project documentation and reporting.
• Use Primavera P6 for scheduling updates.
• Promote Lean Construction and Last Planner System.
• Coordinate with superintendents on materials and construction.
• Promote self-perform work strategies.
• Participate in project pursuits and client relationships.
• Contribute to business development.
