Job summary

Flintco, LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to initiate and develop new business, manage relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors, and lead estimating and budgeting for conceptual and lump-sum bids. You will collaborate with marketing plans and corporate goals to drive successful preconstruction outcomes.

Responsibilities include coordinating with bid teams, conducting value analyses, and providing comprehensive estimates and schedules.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze and interpret complex documents including plans and specifications, proposals, quotes, and qualifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Perform research and client contact to identify and prioritize potential markets and customers.
• Call on Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to stay informed of upcoming projects and inform management of sales activities and proposed bid timing.
• Prepare Pre-Construction Services, estimates, project schedules, and constructability reviews; conduct value analysis workshops.
• Prepare and tabulate unit quantity surveys and price based on cost data; estimate overhead, permits, bonds, taxes.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations; evaluate scope and deficiencies; request clarifications in writing.
• Act as Bid Captain or Estimator on complex packages and coordinate bid team work and pre-bid meetings.
• Cultivate relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineering Firms, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
• Assist in development of major proposals and ensure backup data for conceptual estimates.
• Review and assist in preparation and culmination of project estimates and bids.
