Job summary

PulteGroup is seeking a qualified Construction Supervisor in Salt Lake City, UT to oversee daily trade partner activities and ensure on-time home completion.

You will review drawings, update schedules, manage customer communications, and ensure safety and code compliance while collaborating with Product Development and Purchasing. A university degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience is required, with 2–4 years of prior relevant construction experience.
• Ability to manage construction processes in a high-production environment and read blueprints.
• Familiarity with municipal permitting, building codes, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities and evaluate quality and efficiency.
• Review and modify construction drawings when plan errors or conflicts arise.
• Update project schedules and allocate resources to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure homes are completed on schedule and that all contracts, safety protocols, and codes are followed.
• Manage the customer experience with proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Interact with Community Sales to monitor performance and customer activity.
• Conduct daily site inspections for safety standards and SWPPP compliance.
• Negotiate and authorize field purchase orders for materials and labor as needed.
• Inspect trade partner workmanship and authorize payments upon meeting standards.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Process Improvement, and Purchasing to address plan quality and budget challenges.
• Evaluate work against local/state/federal codes and company standards.
• Participate in trade partner recruiting and vetting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
