Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Construction Manager to ensure a smooth fulfillment of contracts after design. The role blends HVAC/mechanical and commercial construction knowledge with strong communication to coordinate on-site and in-office teams.

Travel to job sites is required; responsibilities include scheduling, safety, subcontracts, pay applications, commissioning support, and development of O&M manuals and as-built documents after project completion.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC/mechanical systems and commercial construction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings for scope, constructability and cost savings.
• Assist with subcontractor selection and bid process.
• Develop and manage construction schedule to hit milestones.
• Administer safety program and develop safety binder.
• Coordinate with vendors on submittals and equipment orders.
• Lead construction review meetings and document weekly progress.
• Support commissioning and address M&V items during construction.
• Review subcontractor pay applications and track project finances.
• Develop O&M manuals and as-built documents after project.
• Provide owner training and address post-construction issues.
