Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking laborers to support form carpenters, concrete operations, ironworkers, and masons on construction sites. This safety-sensitive position requires physical endurance and the ability to handle concrete, forms, and materials with attention to detail.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare areas for concrete placement including final dirt excavation and grading for slabs.
• Assemble concrete forms; assist in placing and lifting form panels.
• Handle concrete bucket from crane to placement area; muck concrete to spread evenly.
• Strip forms after curing and transport to storage.
• Assist finishers with moving power trowels and screeds.
• Support block masons by handling bags of cement, lime, sand, grout; stock blocks/bricks.
• Assist carpenters with door frames, transporting and stacking frames.
• Load/unload/identify materials, equipment, and tools; ensure proper distribution and site cleanliness.
• Promote safety and secure the jobsite at day’s end; store materials properly.
