Job summary

Hensel Phelps in El Paso, TX is seeking a safety‑sensitive Laborer to support form carpenters, concrete operations, ironworkers and masons on our projects. You will prepare sites, handle forms, transport materials, and assist finishers while upholding our safety standards.

This full‑time role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to work long periods shoveling, lifting, and operating tools.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of areas for concrete placement, including final excavation and grading for floor slabs.
• Assemble concrete forms and assist in placement of form panels.
• Handle concrete bucket from crane, muck concrete in slabs for even spreading.
• Assist in stripping concrete forms and transporting them to storage.
• Assist finishers with moving power trowels and power screeds.
• Support masons with moving bags of cement, lime, sand, and grout; stock blocks/bricks.
• Assist carpenters with handling and setting door frames; transport from storage to work areas.
• Load/unload and identify materials, distribute site materials as per plans; keep site swept and organized.
• Promote safety on site and secure jobsite at end of day; ensure proper storage of materials.
