D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Construction Intern to gain hands-on experience across departments, including field and office work, with various learning opportunities and project involvement.

Interns rotate through functions to understand homebuilding processes and professional development. The program emphasizes hands-on exposure, office and field-based activities, and potential future full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to the internship area (business, technology, finance, construction, real estate, HR, marketing, operations, etc.).
• Demonstrated interest in homebuilding, financial services, land development, or related functions.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or function.
• Assist with department projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination, and systems.
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to understand how areas support operations and customer experience.
• Participate in training, rotations, meetings, and other learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of the company and function.
• Explore future career opportunities within D.R. Horton and affiliated businesses after graduation.
• Conduct business professionally and ethically to support customers and company reputation.
• Ability to work overtime and travel including overnight trips as needed.
