Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business with emphasis on construction, contractors, and habitational clients. Hybrid work is preferred with 1 day in NY offices or remote for ETZ/CZT residents.

Responsibilities include policy administration, renewals, billing, and client submissions. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, P&C licensing, CIC or equivalent preferred, and strong analytical

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Policy management: renewals, expirations, and coverage analysis.
• Renewal process: prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Accounts Receivable: monitor reports and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms for data accuracy.
