Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business with a focus on construction, contractors, and habitational clients. The role blends hands-on client service with leadership of the account management team, handling policy administration, renewals, billing, and claims analysis.

Hybrid work options are available, including 1 day in NY offices or fully remote for those in ET/CT zones.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active property & casualty licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals and negotiate coverages when needed
• Monitor reports and collect outstanding balances from delinquent accounts
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team
• Deliver proactive service and uphold IOA values
