Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines. The role supports retention and growth of a book of business, coordinating service requests, policy administration, billing, and renewals across construction, contractors, and habitational clients.

The ideal candidate holds 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with an active P&C license and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Renewals: research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
