Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business. Coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks, resolve complex issues, and ensure accurate policy administration and billing.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with active P&C licensing. Hybrid work is available with 1 day in NY offices or fully remote for Eastern/Central Time Zones.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy administration, billing, claims handling, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: manage expirations, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team.
• Seek continuous improvement and champion IOA values.
