Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, support new growth, and ensure client retention. The role covers policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals for Construction, Contractors, and Habitational risks.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license (CIC preferred) with 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, plus strong communication and organizational skills. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active Property & Casualty license required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring no errors or omissions.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team and maintain data in agency systems.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research, prepare submissions, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances; ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team; deliver proactive service.
• Stay updated on company policies and seek continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate IOA values and leadership in daily work.
