Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business with a focus on retention and growth. The role combines client service, policy administration, and renewal management across construction, contractors, and habitational lines.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license (CIC preferred) and has strong MS Office skills, communication, and teamwork. Hybrid/remote options are available depending on location.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing is required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Monitor policy expirations, renewals, and carrier/vendor communications.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals to clients.
• Track delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and ensure data accuracy.
