Job summary

Maintco is seeking an organized HR Coordinator to support our construction operations in Burbank, CA. You will manage full-cycle hiring, onboarding, records, and day-to-day HR tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Working closely with managers and field teams, you’ll ensure compliance with California labor laws, coordinate training and benefits enrollment, and maintain accurate employee data while communicating clearly at all levels.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HR, office administration, or similar role (construction experience is a plus)
• Knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bamboo HR or similar HR platforms
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
• Familiarity with HRIS or timekeeping systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the full-cycle hiring process including job postings, scheduling, and onboarding
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
• Assist in organizing training sessions, safety briefings, and benefits enrollment
• Support timekeeping, PTO tracking, and policy communications
• Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and a can‑do attitude
• Help enforce punctuality and attendance policies company-wide
• Collaborate closely with Division managers, PEO Organization, and executive leadership
• Jump in where needed – we’re a hands‑on team!
• Attend local and regional networking events with focus on talent development
