Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. in the United States seeks an estimator to perform basic to moderately complex cost estimating, develop Opinions of Probable Cost (OPCC), and research labor, material and equipment costs.

You will assist in pre‑bid activities, coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and suppliers, and help prepare bid documents and schedules for construction projects. You will support field teams, review drawings and specifications, maintain QA/QC records, and participate in change

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take‑offs and researching labor, material and equipment costs.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare or assist in preparation of OPCC and design build projects.
• Receives, reviews and files pricing from project managers or procurement against OPCCs.
• Coordinates timely arrival of parts, equipment, materials with field personnel and vendors.
• Develops baseline schedules and participates in project meetings and change management.
