Job summary

Granite Construction in Westminster, CO is seeking a Civil/Construction Estimator to provide technical engineering and cost information for compliant construction work. This role analyzes drawings, assists with controls, and supports project scheduling and budgets to ensure quality delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in civil engineering or related field and at least 2 years of estimating or field support experience, with proficiency in MS Office and take-off software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction estimating support or related roles.
• Federal experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret design drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design and drawings for craft workers to follow specifications.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support schedule.
• Prepare and disseminate reports, sketches, and material calculations for estimates.
• Provide material controls guidance to minimize additional costs.
• Develop quantity take-offs and cost data for bids and estimates.
• May supervise project staff to ensure standards are met.
