Job summary

CDM Smith in Alaska is seeking an experienced estimator to perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks on diverse construction projects. You will prepare material take-offs, cost research, and assist in OPCC development using Timberline.

You will coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors, develop purchase orders and change orders, and support scheduling, QA/QC, and project controls to ensure accurate cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related estimating experience preferred.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including take-offs and cost research.
• Prepare OPCCs and design build estimates using Timberline.
• Coordinate with PMs, procurement and subcontractors for pricing.
• Develop purchase orders, subcontracts and change orders as needed.
• Support project scheduling, QA/QC and project controls with cost data.
