Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Estimator to perform cost analysis, quantity takeoffs and OPCC preparation for complex construction projects. You will collaborate with project teams, vendors and field personnel to ensure accurate pricing and timely bids.

The role requires familiarity with scheduling, cost control, and VDC/BIM processes. Occasional travel may be necessary to support project needs across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related estimating experience, including cost analysis and OPCC work.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Proficiency with quantity takeoffs, material pricing and project cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks and cost research.
• Utilize Timberline to prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC).
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement for pricing updates.
• Support pre-bid activities, bid day quotes and change management.
• Develop schedules, budgets and baseline planning with project controls.
