Job summary

Southern Company Gas is seeking a Construction Support Supervisor – Document Management to lead a team responsible for collecting, verifying, and delivering complete construction documentation for a multi-project portfolio with substantial capital spend.

You will supervise full-time staff, leased workers, and vendors, and manage the digital inspection and progress tracking system to ensure standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in documentation and closeout activities related to utility construction projects.
• 5+ years of experience in documentation and closeout activities within the gas pipeline industry, plus additional experience in construction/engineering/project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent experience.
• CAPM and/or PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members responsible for construction documentation activities, including full-time employees, leased workers, and/or contract service vendors.
• Oversee documentation collection, quality control, error reconciliation, and final document handover for assigned construction projects.
• Ensure project documentation is traceable, verifiable, complete, and aligned with applicable standards and requirements.
• Administer the digital inspection and progress tracking system for the assigned portfolio.
• Monitor documentation workflows, identify gaps or issues, and drive timely resolution to support project closeout.
• Partner with construction, engineering, project management, and other stakeholders to support accurate and complete documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
