Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP in California is seeking a Document Controls Lead to oversee the Owner’s PMO document control across EPC, commissioning and closeout for a major natural gas infrastructure project. This onsite role requires strong experience in engineering document lifecycle management and leadership of document control workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
10+ years in Document Control or Records Management on large EPC/industrial projects.
Experience managing engineering drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, vendor documents, commissioning docs, and turnover packages.
Strong lifecycle understanding and coordination between Owner, EPC contractors, engineers and construction teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the Owner’s document control function across the project lifecycle.
Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures and quality standards.
Manage submissions, transmittals, and version control between Client, EPC contractors, and stakeholders.
Maintain document registers, status reports, and dashboards; monitor KPIs and drive process improvements.
Coordinate closeout documentation and records handover to operations per SDG&E standards.
