Job summary

Morton Buildings is expanding its construction crews and employee owners. The role offers $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, paid weekly, with bonuses and stock ownership through an ESOP. New crew members receive a $500 quarterly bonus in year one, plus an additional $2000 in the first year, subject to taxes.

Typical duties include reading construction plans, using tools, and building according to plans, with travel up to 15% and potential to work 9–10 hours daily during peak season.

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction/post-frame, carpentry or framing preferred (on the job or in school).
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Available to work 9–10 hours during peak construction season.
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work.
• Willingness to comply with safety processes and operate construction tools safely.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work at heights up to 40 feet and travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Learn, keep current with Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures and standards.
• Read and build according to construction plans.
• Use various tools and equipment to construct buildings safely and efficiently.
• Execute tasks like digging footings, framing walls/roofs, installing doors/windows, and siding/roofing materials.
• Collaborate with crew to maintain a safe, organized, productive work environment.
