Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking construction crew members to join our team of employee owners. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, with a $2,000 first-year bonus and an additional $500 bonus each quarter during the first year. Eligible for ESOP and safety incentives.

Positions involve 9–10 hour days during peak season, travel up to 10%, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Training and advancement opportunities are provided in a values-driven, equal-opportunity workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction, post-frame, carpentry or framing preferred.
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program.
• Valid driver’s license preferred; Class A CDL highly desired.
• Available to work 9–10 hours during peak construction season.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Capable of working at heights and in physically demanding environments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% with overnight trips possibly up to two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings safety and construction procedures, methods and standards.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize various tools and equipment to safely and efficiently construct buildings.
• Execute tasks such as digging and installing footings, framing walls/roofs, installing windows/doors, and siding/roofing materials.
• Work with crew to maintain a safe, organized, productive environment.
