Job summary

Morton Buildings Inc. is expanding its construction crews with employee owners. The role offers hourly pay from $20.00 to $22.00, weekly pay, and bonuses in year one.

You’ll follow safety standards, read plans, and work on footings, framing, windows, doors, siding, and roofing. Expect up to 40-foot heights and up to 15% travel, including overnight trips. Bonuses include a $2,000 first-year bonus and a $500 quarterly bonus during the first year, with ESOP benefits and strong retirement options.

Qualifications

• Building construction (post-frame), carpentry or framing experience preferred.
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• Available to work 9-10 hours during peak construction season.
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work.
• Must comply with safety processes and operate tools safely.
• Capable of operating specialized safety equipment; heavy lifting up to 100 lb.
• Able to work at various heights and travel about 15% (possibly overnight).

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton safety and construction procedures, plans, and standards.
• Read and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize tools and equipment to construct buildings safely and efficiently.
• Dig and install footings, frame walls and roofs, install windows and doors, apply siding and roofing materials.
• Collaborate with crew in a safe, productive work environment with respect.
