Job summary

Monteith Construction in Myrtle Beach is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth in the commercial construction sector. You will analyze markets, expand client networks, and build a robust project pipeline from prospect to awarded work.

You will engage with industry partners, leverage Salesforce for opportunity tracking, and collaborate across teams to meet deadlines. A strong local market knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience building a sales pipeline in commercial construction.
• Ability to identify opportunities in the Triad/Carolinas market.
• Strong communication with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market conditions to identify opportunities aligned with Monteith’s strengths.
• Grow relationships with existing clients and establish new ones (public/private, institutions, architects, engineers).
• Develop a pipeline of construction projects and drive leads through the sales funnel to awarded work.
• Engage in industry/community events to promote Monteith’s brand and culture.
• Connect with local trade partners to generate interest in bids for select projects.
• Utilize Salesforce to track and communicate opportunity updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet client deadlines from RFP through Preconstruction to GMP.
• Contribute to Monteith’s Triad office culture and community footprint.
