Job summary

Monteith Construction Corp. in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations, uphold safety, LEAN planning, and scheduling, while coordinating trade partners and ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

You will lead daily activities, manage paperwork, attend pre-construction and progress meetings, and drive continuous improvement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore is a plus; willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in supervising commercial construction.
• Able to work non-traditional hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Procore is a plus.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Owner, Architect, Trade Partner & Supplier relationships.
• Ensure that all projects are performed by contract and quality standards.
• Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and take necessary actions to ensure project objectives are met.
• Maintain daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and e-mail correspondence.
• Implement project schedules ensuring upcoming events are on track and attended.
• Promote and maintain safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site.
• Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
• Participate in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives.
