Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking an experienced Construction Bookkeeper in Alaska to own day-to-day accounting for a growing, family-owned construction company. You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll for 50 employees, and monthly AIA billing across active projects, while maintaining accurate project financial records and bank reconciliations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Previous experience within the construction industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
• AIA billing experience.
• Strong understanding of job costing.
• Payroll processing experience.
• Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping and account reconciliations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A polished, professional, and personable communication style.
• A flexible, adaptable mindset and willingness to wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions.
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
• Process payroll for 50 employees.
• Prepare and manage monthly AIA billing for construction projects.
• Perform job costing and maintain project financial records.
• Complete account and bank reconciliations.
• Manage invoicing, AR/AP, and financial records.
• Maintain organized financial records in QuickBooks.
• Track activity across multiple projects and assist with month/year-end closing.
• Support leadership with additional accounting and operational needs.
