Job summary

Evolving Solution Services is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in the construction sector to manage daily financial transactions, including AP/AR and bank reconciliations, while maintaining ledgers and ensuring tax compliance. This role supports project-level accounting for multiple construction sites across the United States.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of related experience, proficiency in QuickBooks, and familiarity with payroll tax processing and tax return preparation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
• Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll tax processing.
• Familiarity with tax return preparation and compliance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certification in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
• Must have 3-5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance company accounts regularly.
• Prepare and assist with payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and financial reports in coordination with external accountants.
• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect all financial activities accurately.
• Utilize QuickBooks software to record, track, and report financial data specific to construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure financial data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
