Himmel's Architectural Door and Hardware in Grapevine, TX is seeking an Accounting Specialist to prepare, review, and process billings for construction projects. You will work with project managers, accounting, and clients to ensure contracts are billed correctly and costs are allocated properly.

The role requires 2+ years of construction billing or accounting experience, advanced Excel, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction billing or construction accounting experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• 3 years billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit progress billings, AIA billings, and cost-plus invoices.
• Review contracts to ensure billing aligns with agreed terms and conditions.
• Track project costs, change orders, retainage, and billing schedules.
• Reconcile billed amounts with project budgets and job cost reports.
• Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Process lien waivers and support collections efforts as needed.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for audits.
• Assist with month-end close related to construction revenue.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing questions or issues.
