Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware, serving the Dallas–Grapevine area, seeks an Accounting Specialist to support project billing and cost tracking in a busy construction finance team.

You will prepare progress billings, review contracts, track costs, and reconcile budgets with job reports in a fast-paced environment. On-site role in Grapevine, TX with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction billing or construction accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit progress billings, AIA billings, and cost-plus invoices.
• Review contracts to ensure billing aligns with agreed terms and conditions.
• Track project costs, change orders, retainage, and billing schedules.
• Reconcile billed amounts with project budgets and job cost reports.
• Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Process lien waivers and support collections efforts as needed.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for audits.
• Assist with month-end close related to construction revenue.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing questions or issues.

Salary Range

$50,000 - $60,000

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit progress billings, AIA billings, and cost-plus invoices

• Office-based with collaboration across project and finance teams
• May require working under tight deadlines

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 3 years Billing experience.
• 1-year accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel software.
• Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment individually and as part of a team.
• Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, strong communication skills and a positive and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to routinely lift and move objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and successfully complete random screens.
