Job summary

MEC General Contractors seeks a Construction Billing & AP Specialist to manage contractual and financial operations for multiple projects. You will administer subcontracts, vendor compliance, and Procore–Sage transactions, prepare monthly owner draws, process subcontractor payments and lien waivers, and guide each project to financial closeout.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction accounting and job-cost accounting.
• Procore, Sage Intacct and Bluebeam or Adobe familiarity preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word mail merge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project mailboxes and triage questions, payment discrepancies and invoices.
• Enter subcontractor and vendor invoices from all intake paths, ensuring costs post before draw closes.
• Review and release Procore transactions to Sage and manage commitments and change orders.
• Ensure Procore and Sage synchronization by correcting exports and avoiding direct Sage entries.
• Track and prepare the monthly draw package including cost backup and job cost reporting.
• Lead the monthly billing cycle with G702/703 requisitions and owner draws.
• Prepare lien waivers and collect from subcontractors; manage waiver packages for closeout.
