McGough Construction CO, LLC is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to support project financial management, billing, and cost control. You will collaborate with project managers and operations to ensure accurate data flow and reporting, leveraging CMiC ERP and sound accounting practices.

The role emphasizes forecasting, cash flow insights, audits support, and strict adherence to GAAP/IFRS, with opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative, growth-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred.
• Construction industry experience.
• 4–7 years of accounting/finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Review project contracts to ensure billing terms and cost controls.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to verify equipment pre-bill reports.
• Evaluate project costs and allocation for accuracy.
• Approve or adjust vendor and subcontractor billings per contract.
• Provide forecasting, variance reporting, and cash flow insights.
• Advise on budget performance and financial risks.
• Manage project billings and reconciliations timely.
• Monitor contract values and provide financial guidance.
• Support audits with reconciliations and reports.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and tax requirements.
• Oversee project closeout documentation.
• Serve as CMiC subject matter expert.
• Educate subcontractors on lien waiver requirements.
