Job summary

Crossland Heavy Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Assist Project Manager in Prosper, Texas.

This role supports the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, coordinating with the Superintendent and project team. You will help with long-term planning, scheduling, and addressing potential roadblocks, while ensuring documentation and subcontractor coordination align with contract documents and company policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (Preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or management support (Preferred).
• Basic understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods (Preferred).
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (Preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (Preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safety - promote accountability and ensure safety in job planning and execution.
• Pre-job planning and mobilization - prepare & submit front end documentation.
• Project scheduling – assist in developing the overall job schedule in P6 and major equipment delivery schedules.
• Customer/Owner relations - maintain open communications and conduct monthly progress meetings as needed.
• Expediting vendors and subcontractors; manage submittals and logs.
• Assist with project cost control, reporting, and budget monitoring.
• Support with progress payments and closeout documents.
• Ensure quality control plans and startup procedures are followed.
