Job summary

Mortenson in Texas seeks an Assistant Project Manager to partner with the project manager from bid preparation through final client acceptance. You will lead, coach, and mentor project team members to deliver on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include cost control, coordinating scopes, drafting proposals, managing contracts and subcontracts, and guiding field engineers. Travel up to 100% and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction-related field.
• Minimum five years of related experience.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost control and financial management.
• Coordinate scopes of work with Preconstruction on estimates and schedules.
• Review and compile pay applications, change requests, and other financial docs.
• Draft client proposals and manage contracts; award subcontracts.
• Provide direction to project team for safe and timely completion; mentor engineers.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers; lead buyout and coordination meetings.
• Perform on-site PM duties for small projects; implement quality plans.
