Job summary

McCarl's Inc. is seeking an AR Specialist to manage invoicing, apply payments, monitor account balances, and support the billing needs of our project teams. The role emphasizes accuracy and timely processing within our ERP framework.

You will work closely with project managers and operations, handling monthly billing cycles, reconciliations, and customer communications to ensure clean, timely cash flow. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with job costing systems are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business, Accounting or related field preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years of accounting data entry or accounts receivable experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems that use a job costing module.
• Construction industry experience considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices based on job progress or service completion.
• Apply customer payments (ACH, check, wire, credit card) to accounts.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due balances.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project managers to resolve billing issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly billing cycles and reporting.
• Generate and distribute customer statements.
• Support collections while maintaining customer relationships.
